Off/On 02:52
Off/On A strobing light across the street. Fragments of glass beneath my feet. A signal coming in and out. I don’t know what it’s all about, but someone’s shouting. I can’t begin to see it all. I can’t begin to paint the picture, sort the mixture into off and on and off and on. A quiet voice inside my head. An empty room where words were said. A broken phone, a flashing screen. But I don’t know what it all means, and someone’s shouting. I can’t begin to see it all. I can’t begin to paint the picture, sort the mixture into off and on and off and on. ______________________________________________________

Specific Northwest How pacific: easy going. Going. Gone. And ever knowing. Knowing how to keep it focused. How specific northwest. And you are always a smile at sunset How atlantic: dark & stormy. Storming out of anger for me. How specific… And you are always a smile at sunset How specific northwest ______________________________________________________

Another Self 01:44
Another Self A freeway to another life. I’ll drive with you away from all this strife. The tank is full. This town’s a vessel of its former self. We’ve gotta go: an exit plan to mental health. I know it’s hard. It’s always hard until you’re on the road. And then it’s gold. And then it’s almost easy. We’ve got to make it We’ve got to make it out To see a different future To sing instead of shout A freeway to another life. I’ll drive with you away from all this strife. Another view. Another chance to be another self. I’ll drive with you: an exit plan to mental health. ______________________________________________________

Over The Hill Over the hill and far away. Nothing to leave, and nothing to say. Look at the world through a clearer lens with only a mirror and the hottest trends Endless observations Buzzing through your head Magnifying rumours (to make you do the things you do) Over the hill. Over exposed. Over concerned. Under the tow. - - - - - Look at me wave from the bottom below. Countless instigations Scrolling past your eyes Amplifying anger (to make you do the things you do) Over the hill and far away. Nothing to leave, and nothing to say. Nowhere to fit. Nothing to pray. Nothing to sing. Nowhere to stay. Avalanche of sermons Opulence of lies Simplifying reason (to make you do the things you do) Torrent of endorphins Waterfall of likes Complicating feelings (to make you do the things you do) ______________________________________________________

Butterflies 03:36
Butterflies Nervous gestures. Fluttering of timid feet. Flowers on the breeze. Laugh to make it easy. I see you. I think you see me walking over. You see me. I know you see me. I wave my hand. You wave your hand. I wave. You wave. I wave. You wave. Quiet glances. Awkward pauses. Silent cues. New romances. Reconnections. Rendezvous. Similes and sighs. Smiles and butterflies. Hot and hazy skies. Oooooh… Picnic basket. Stories for a million miles. Catching up and on. Hum a little song. I watch you. I know you see me inching over. I ask you a silly question. Fluttering of timid hearts. Flowers on the breeze. Laugh to make it easy. Similes and sighs. Watch the butterflies. Flowers on the breeze. Smile to make it easy. Similes and sighs. Feel the butterflies. ______________________________________________________

Keep Coming Back Across city streets Under golden skies Travelling so long just to see the sign Stopping red Green traffic light Walking so far in the depths of night Ten worlds apart But I see you there Looking back at me full vacant stare Knowing then Not knowing now Falling forward never going down. ______________________________________________________

Praise Be 03:17
Praise Be In padded dreams light attacks not as it seems The body soars fractured visions of spirit wars On mountains high reach up to untune the sky Praise Be In a distant land I can reach out to shake my hand Something on TV groan-like sounding self-love plea In shades of green moments of small childhood me Praise Be ______________________________________________________

Siren 02:07
Siren Sirens here and over there. Sirens sound off everywhere. On open streets from in the park. Sirens scream most after dark. Nice to hear you friend. What’s that sound? It’s that stupid siren coming ‘round. What’d you say? I can’t hear you. A siren’s screaming somewhere near you. Emergency on every corner. Fancy homes hide social disorder. Sirens in this recorded song. Sirens yelling all day long. I track a siren from east to west. Random assault’s my second guess. I can hear them in my dreams. The crows are flying overhead. Siren below. Wednesday. Second dead. As car horns sing an angry song, siren arrives, 80 seconds long. A guy turns left, tailing yellow to red. Siren pulls up. One bandaged head. Look in my eyes. There’s a siren in there. I’m floundering about and pulling my hair. I can hear them in my dreams. ______________________________________________________

Tamboree 02:26
Tamboree Summer starting heavy and the weekend’s stretching long but not a long face to be seen upon this dappled city lawn. Meet me in the middle on the blanket in the sun. We can talk for hours and hours about how life keeps moving on. Grab hold while it’s here ’cause it is fleeting, it is fast. If you don’t seize upon the moment then the moment’s gonna pass. I used to think that I could stay inside and hide away from pain. But it don’t work that way. Trust me. It will multiply, and keep you down. I know times are heavy. They weight deep and they weigh long. And when they come for you, you come for me, and we will write a song. Meet me in the moment, in the fleeting, sweet relief, in the smiles and laughs and photographs that help us through the grief. I used to think that it would all end badly, but the sun is here. ______________________________________________________

In The Meantime Once in a while, fortune favours the bold, yet here we remain even still unknown. I guess every once in a while the culture consumes ’til it’s cold. Here we all still sit nervously and hope. Sometimes we can go so solo As abstract as it gets It can take only you to know. So many times in this life: a pull to search for the soul. In the meantime, hope is found waiting for the news to unfold. Once in a while, fortune favours the old. In the meantime, hope is found waiting for the news to explode. ______________________________________________________
